Holiday driving ban

A driving ban applies to vehicles with a permissible total weight of more than 12 tonnes:

• on holidays: from 7.00 to 22.00
• on the days prior to a public holiday: from 18.00 to 22.00

Summer driving ban 2021

The summer driving ban in Poland for vehicles and vehicle combinations with a maximum permissible total weight of more than 12 tons, will take effect this year on Friday, June 26, 2021 (the last day of school) and will apply until August 30, 2021.

– Friday form 18.00 – 22.00
– Saturday from 08.00 – 14.00
– Sunday from 08.00 – 22.00

Exceptions

• vehicles from police, army, fire brigade, border guard and technical emergency assistance
• roadside assistance vehicles
• vehicles used in natural disasters and rescue operations
• vehicles for maintenance and construction of roads and bridges
• transport of perishable foodstuffs (including cut flowers and house plants) such as meat, fish, milk, eggs, vegetables, potatoes, etc.
• transport of living animals
• transport of goods for political, economic, cultural, educational and sports events
• transportation of radio and television recording equipment
• Vehicles for loading and unloading rail wagons within a radius of 50 km from the loading or unloading station
• humanitarian transports
• combined transport
• mail freight and transportation of newspapers and magazines
• transport of oil, fuel, water, spare parts for ships
• transport of medicines
• transport of those quantities of hazardous substances for which the ‘orange plate’ must be used
• transport of cement
• transport of household waste
• agricultural tractors
• vehicles for medical research
• vehicles that entered Poland before the driving ban scheme and that must travel a maximum distance of 50 km from the border and vehicles that are waiting in the border zone to leave Poland

Temporary driving ban

At extremely high temperatures, temporary traffic restrictions can also be set for vehicles over 12 tons gross weight. This driving ban then applies from 11:00 to 22:00 and is communicated at least 2 days in advance to the police, customs and media, among others.

Info about the transport means

We have daily departures from the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria with groupage shipments and full loads. With or without double deck trailers. This shipping method allows us to save transport costs for you.

Loading can be done from the side or the rear, with the variable heights of the adjustable floor. for example, you can use an extra second floor at a maximum height of 220cm. To be loaded by means of a stacker / forklift truck with “free height” with a height in the trailer of 300cm. But can also be unloaded from the side by using curtain sides.
